Some of us are recent participants in the Encore program in ACT and the Bravehearts are the DA ladies from Albury/Wodonga who are pairing up with the Encore ladies.

Why we chose our team name

Name Choice: To include both parties’ names and it has a nice ring to it

Uniform: Black with lots of pink trim (Bravehearts will be wearing pink life jackets) so keep a look out for the ‘pink on the water’

Why we entered: Encore - to support Dragons Abreast in ACT and to promote the importance of the Encore program to the ACT Government (funding has been withdrawn by Avon) and this important program has been stopped in the ACT (hopefully temporarily) by the YWCA

Bravehearts – are our DA guests from Albury

Amusing events: Various levels of knowledge of paddling so there has been lots of laughs – our coach Elspeth has been so positive, patient and encouraging.
