New Dragon Boat launched in aid of breast cancer recovery

Canberra Raiders and ACT Brumbies players and a Buddhidt monk joined with the ladies in pink of Dragons Abreast ACT and Region to celebrate the arrival of their new dragon boat Gecko on Lake Burley Griffin this morning.

Dragons Abreast welcomes all women who have had breast cancer, regardless of age or sporting ability, to enjoy the delights of Lake Burley Griffin and the camaraderie of getting fit and having fun.

Gecko is a 10-seater dragon boat and will be a welcome addition to the 20-seater GoAnna.

Gecko was funded by a grant from the ACT Department of Sport and Recreation as well as club fundraising.
