We are a group of energetic breast cancer survivors, with wonderful supporters, known as the Coastbusters.
We aim to improve our fitness, enjoy friends, and have lots of good times together. While doing this we raise awareness of active life after breast cancer and support the search for a cure.
If you share our vision COME AND JOIN US!! Toukley.- Peel Street on the lake. Sunday morning. on the water at 7am. just imagine the serene beauty of the lake, the rhythmic swish of paddles and the bonds of friendship and shared experience wrapping these paddlers.
We have been, and continue to be involved in a great variety of activities including the following:
International Regatta Abreast in a Boat, Vancouver Canada 2004
- First International Pink Breast Cancer World Championships in September 2006 in Singapore
- International Regatta Abreast in Australia, Caloundra 2007 and 2011.
- International regatta Abreast In a Boat in Peterborough, Canada 2010
- Chinese New Year Dragon Boat Festival in Sydney every year.
- Our own Central Coast Dragon Boat Regatta at Tacoma on the Wyong River alongside our sporting team Sea Dragons every year.
- Mingara Relay For Life.
- Best Breakfast at Olympic Park in support of the major annual fund-raiser for the Breast Cancer Institute.
- Coffee and breakfast after paddling each Sunday.
- Regular camping weekends when we paddle kayaks, eat, drink and relax.
- Social bar-b-ques.
- Regular theatre nights.
