With meetings between Dragons Abreast Sydney, Encore and Port Hacking sports club, Dragons Abreast Port Hacking was formed in November 2007. We are very lucky to be part of such a great parent club. With much patience they have coached us and swept for us.
With great enthusiasm our 19 ladies trained hard, bought their own paddles and entered into Chinese New Year at Darling Harbour in February 2008 as part of composite teams. We didn’t win but we had a lot of fun and made new friends.
The Port Hacking Club celebrated their 25th Anniversary in September 2008 and won the Club of the Year Award in 2008 so they know what they are doing.
Our training sessions are held on Saturday mornings at 7.30am and Sundays at 8am with extra week night training on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm during the summer starting on 7th October.
We encourage everyone no matter what your age, skill or level of fitness to come and give it a go. What could be better than paddling on the Port Hacking River amongst million dollars homes deciding which one to buy!
