Dragons Abreast NT – for their donation of $6,000 to DAA! A wonderful Christmas present and very much appreciated! (December 2006)

Dragons Abreast ACT and Region for such a successful regatta and their generous donation of $2,000 to DAA towards Abreast in Australia 2007. This is very gratefully received and will help us ensure that DAA provides all participants with the ‘Celebration of a Lifetime' in Caloundra 2007. Thanks to Dragons Abreast Port Lincoln for their donation of $1,000 from a Pink Party held on 18^th August. The girls raised $380 and then very generously decided to add funds to take it up to $1000 for our national coffers. (August 2006)

Thanks also to Penny Dudding from Advanced Breast Care for the $1,000 donation from the sales of Pink Ribbon prosthesis. We are very grateful for her ongoing support of DAA.

CENTRAL COAST DRAGONS ABREAST – for their donation of $1000 towards DAA nationally – their letter says ‘we are pleased that our donation will be used to further help many women of Australia” THANK YOU CENTRAL COAST!!!

DRAGONS ABREAST BRAVEHEARTS FOR WINNING the Inaugural Albury City 2006 Celebrate Albury Community Awards. The Award was for the Exceptional Commitment to the Albury Community. Dragons Abreast Australia are thrilled to have received a grant of $3,300 from the NT Government, Community Benefit Fund to purchase a light projector. This will make our work so much easier across the country as we will now we able to set up our own presentations and not worry about relying on technology to be supplied, borrowed etc!! We are extremely grateful to the Northern Territory Community Benefit Fund for selecting our organisation as a recipient of the recent funding.

“THANK YOU” Dragons Abreast NT for the donation of $6,500 to Australia from the proceeds of the Crab & Quail Night held on Saturday 10^th September.

The funds were very timely and much appreciated, as the last seventeen months have been enormously busy for Dragons Abreast Australia as our organisation has continued to flourish and grow beyond our wildest imaginings. The growth has placed a huge drain on our financial resources. The $6,500 will be used to fund two issues of our national glossy magazine, so many, many individuals across Australia, both DAA members and those who are newly diagnosed who pick up a copy in a doctors surgery etc, will all benefit from the generosity and support of Dragons Abreast NT.

$1000 from this event was donated to Dragons Abreast Australia. This money will be used towards our postage costs which means we are able to continue to post out newsletters and brochures to so many, many individuals and doctors surgeries and hospitals across Australia which means those who are newly diagnosed and pick up a copy will all benefit from the generosity and support of Dragons Abreast ACT & Region.
