Our founder and hero, Michelle Hanton, stepped down on 30 November 2011. Here is what she had to say:
"Several of our members wanted to hold some kind of celebration to mark the fact that I am stepping down from the helm of Dragons Abreast after 13 years of involvement. Whilst I have appreciated the thought it is far better that any funds that would be spent on a celebration or a gift are channelled to the charity that I so passionately care for - that charity is Dragons Abreast. The Board of Dragons Abreast in conjunction with Denise Lynn, organised for an 'Everyday Hero' page to be set up - the link is here - if you would like to contribute."
