Are you looking for something new, to get fit, have some fun, make new friends?? Have lots of new adventures? Then why not try Dragon Boating!!
Come and join us!
We are the Pendragons Abreast at Penrith. Our aim is to always support each other while maintaining a public profile that promotes breast cancer awareness and always promoting the search for a cure.
Dragons Abreast Penrith, also known as Pendragons Abreast, was formed in 2004 and has been a member of our national charity Dragons Abreast Australia since then. We are a cancer support group within Pendragons Dragon Boat Club. We compete with our supporters in all DBNSW regattas as part of the sports crew. In addition, there are two special events each year where we paddle in survivor races and can now be joined by our own supporters as well. These are the social and community days at Darling Harbour during Chinese New Year and the Dragons Abreast Festival also at Darling Harbour, when we paddle with our survivors and supporters in the DA challenges.
Pendragons Abreast currently have 29 members, 17 survivors and 12 supporters. We are always looking for new members to come and join us!! So if you'd like to try something different, please give us a call.

We have members from the Blue Mountains, Penrith and the surrounding areas and would be more than happy to welcome new members.
We now have 2 accredited sweeps, 1 is also a coach, as well as 1 sweep in training and we also have the benefit of experienced coaches from our sports crew Pendragons, to ensure that we use the correct technique to become fit and healthy for the seasons competition. This usually begins at Dobroyd Point in August.
Opportunities are always available for everyone to learn to sweep or coach.
We practice and train at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith, Castlereagh Rd, Penrith Lakes. This Olympic class venue provides us with showers, toilets and parking. Few clubs have the opportunity to train at a venue of this calibre and the Pendragons Abreast/Pendragons are the envy of others.
Alternatively, we now have a boat at the Nepean River for those times that we can't get on the water at the Regatta Centre.
