Dragons Abreast Penrith celebrate National Paddle Month

Dragons Abreast Penrith celebrated DAA National Paddle Day at Sydney International Regatta Centre Penrith with special guests John Thain, Mayor for Penrith, Emma Hussar,Federal member for Lindsay and Susan Templeman, Federal member for Macquarie.

It was a lovely day, our three special guests joined us and even participated in a paddle with us.  Most members of DA Penrith were there and we were supported by our sports crew Pendragons!!

The day started off cold wet and foggy, but as we were about to paddle the sun came out and shone brilliantly!! Everyone was happy and we had another very memorable event!!

Watch Zac's (Gillian Brown's son) video for us on our Dragons Abreast Penrith Facebook page or You Tube!!

The girls all support each other and give each other confidence on the water, it is sometimes very difficult after a breast cancer diagnosis to get your life back together and stay fit and healthy.  With the team training and competing throughout the year it keeps all the girls healthy and socially interacting with other members of Dragons Boating Clubs.

Thank you one and all for helping us celebrate this special day!!
